Dighton-Rehoboth Regional High School is hosting our annual Homecoming dance this year on November 7th; arrival starts at 6:30, and the dance is from 7 to 10pm! Tickets will be available for purchase for $20 each until Friday, October 31st. For the first time ever at DR, students are able to vote for a Homecoming King and Queen. All nominees must be in the graduating class of 2026, while two court members will be selected from freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Homecoming King, Queen, and Court members will be picked during Homecoming. Campaign promotion is students’ responsibility on their own social media and class pages. Unlike former Homecoming dances held at DR, we now have a voted-upon theme; students were able to choose from the following three: Under The Lanterns, Masquerade Ball, and Elements, with the winning theme being Under The Lanterns.
This year, the DRRHS marketing program is holding a Homecoming Proposal contest. Post a photo or video of your proposal and send it to @drrhshoco_25 on Instagram. The proposal post with the most likes will win two free tickets. All submissions must be made by November 1st. A homecoming proposal is a fun, creative, and unique way to ask somebody to go to the dance with you, be your date, or simply go together as friends. These proposals often involve a poster with a short message and a small gift like a bouquet of flowers. Most posters are personal to whoever is being asked, usually including their favorite movies, hobbies, TV shows, and much more. All further updates and information will be posted on the previously mentioned Instagram account @drrhs_hoco25.
