Vice Principal Mr. Dineen
Richard Dineen is one of the prestigious assistant principals at D-R. He became part of the team midway through the 24-25 school year and greatly contributed to the positive environment around the school! A lasting legacy he hopes to leave behind at D-R is knowing that he gave his best each day and that he made our school a positive place to help develop young learners to grow and socialize. Mr. Dineen greets students every morning at the door and says goodbye each afternoon with a smile on his face. You can find him listening to classic rock on his time off while working on cars, landscaping, or hiking the White Mountains. Despite being so busy, he also has his own aspirations, like speaking another language or learning to play a new instrument. If he’s not hiking the trails, you’ll see him officiating the high school wrestling team in the winter! Before he was our assistant principal, he dreamed of being a firefighter or an auto mechanic. Sharing his love of history with others was also a dream of his, so it guided him to pursue a degree at Bridgewater State. His early career consisted of being a 1-to-1 paraprofessional for a young student in special education and evolved into what he is today. When asked to describe himself with one word, he said “consistent.” He shows this by helping students at D-R do their very best every day. His motivation is seeing his students succeed in high school and life. Mr. Dineen says the most valuable life lesson that he has learned is “Make the most of what you have been given, and don’t regret growing older; it is a privilege denied to many.” His message to all students at D-R is to “believe in yourself and be kind to yourself.”
